About the Facilitator

Dr. Larry Ousley 

is the Executive Director of the Intentional Growth Center (IGC). Before coming to IGC in 2000, he served as senior pastor of three churches of over 1,000 members in the Holston Conference of the UMC. 

He is a life coach recognized through the International Coach Federation (ICF) as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) in 2004 and as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) in 2010. Larry is also an Endorsed Life Coach by the United Methodist Endorsing Agency as well as a Certified Organizational Relationship Systems Coach (ORSCC). He was an author in the anthology, Ministry 3.0: How Today's Church Leaders are Using Coaching to Transform Ministry.

Larry has led approximately ten long-term group leadership coaching projects and has over 2,000 hours of experience coaching pastors, district superintendents, and conference staff persons.

 

 
                                          

Participants in this training will:

  • Gain a strong understanding of coaching and the distinction between coaching and therapy, consulting and mentoring.
  • Observe and debrief LIVE coaching sessions by the presenter.
  • Learn core coaching skills that can be incorporated into their work setting.
  • Have opportunities to practice these coaching skills and receive feedback.
  • Experience a combination of coaching theory and practice.
  • Learn a model for having a “coaching conversation.” 
This Virtual Seminar will be offered on Tuesdays from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. ET from Jan. 24, Feb. 7 and 28, March 7 and 21, April 18, May 2 and 16, 2017.. We will use the powerful Zoom Video Conference technology which will allow us to see presentations online live as well as have interactive video conferencing, including breakout groups. The sessions will require access to the Internet; participants are encouraged to use a computer, phone, or tablet with a camera to connect.

 

Cost: $97.00 per person

0.8 CEU's will be offered to those who have completed Coaching Skills for Ministry, a total of 8 hours of training.
