If so, there are now Federal and State of Oregon & Washington regulations effective April 22, 2010 that may prevent you from performing your work. The EPA requires all companies to apply for and receive EPA Certification to disturb paint in pre-1978 housing and child occupied facilities.
Fines for non-compliance are up to $37,500 per day/per occurance and last year the EPA fined one company $500,000.
