Applying to Top Gun is easy! The process involves completing a Business Model Canvas, submitting a brief application and presenting a pitch with a slide deck to members of the Top Gun Advisory Board.

What is Top Gun PreFlight?

PreFlight is designed to help entrepreneurs submit the best Top Gun application that they can, and in the process move their business forward!  PreFlight sessions offer assistance in three areas that entrepreneurs need both in the Top Gun application process, and in launching or growing their business. 

Haven’t ever done a pitch and don’t know what a Business Model Canvas is? No Worries! You can sign up for one of our PreFlight workshops where you can learn about the basics of pitching, Business Model Canvas and get feedback on your pitch.

The cost is $50.00. For that cost you can join us for 1 or all 10 of these PreFlight learning sessions. 

Our PreFlight training dates//topics are:

12/15, 1/12 - Business Model Canvas (1 hour workshop)
The BMC is a tool that MCED uses in Top Gun Prep, Top Gun and  MoneyTrack services to help entrepreneurs identify the areas of their businesses that need their attention next. This hands-on workshop teaches Business Model Canvas by doing, if it’s new to you, and provides mentor feedback on your BMC for those looking to review and refine what they already have developed.

12/16, 1/13 - Pitching (1 hour workshop)
This learning by doing workshop will teach what’s in a Basic Business Pitch if it’s new to you, and provide feedback on your pitch for Top Gun (or other purposes) if you already know the basics.

12/17, 1/5, 1/6, 1/7, 1/14, 1/20 - Mentoring (20-minute private sessions)
Mentors are a big part of the Top Gun experience. These private sessions with mentors will help you identify key issues that you need to be working on, either in Top Gun or on your own. 

You may attend all of these sessions or just one, depending on your needs. Please make sure to reserve and choose all of the dates you plan on attending.

*You do not need to be applying to Top Gun 2016 to attend these learning sessions.
