Conference Objectives
At the conclusion of this conference, learner will be able to:
1. Explain the path that long term care has taken and some barriers to improving the long term care experience that have developed along the way.
2. Describe some potential alternative visions for the long term care experience in the future.
3. Describe your role as medical director in the development of non-pharmaceutical behavioral interventions, emergency preparedness, and fall reduction in your nursing homes.
4. Name some ways that your management of diabetes, heart failure and infections in long term care might improve by becoming more standardized.

The Minnesota Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators has approved this program for up to 11.25 credit hours.

Pharmacists will be provided the necessary documentation to apply for Minnesota Board of Pharmacy credit after the conference.
