November 20, 2018 | 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging (RIA)

This fall, MAREP moved its home base from the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Waterloo to the RIA.

On November 20th, we'll be honouring MAREP's 25 years of dedication to improving dementia care, and celebrating 15 years of "By Us For Us" Guides. These practical resources were created by people living with dementia for people living with dementia, and a new guide on Young Onset Dementia will be launched at the event. Copies of past issues will also be available.

The celebration will include special remarks by:

  • Ron Schlegel, Chair of the Board and Founder, RIA
  • Ken Murray, MAREP Founder
  • Brenda Hounam, Creator of the BUFU Guides

Light refreshments will be provided.

Parking:
A free shuttle bus service will be available to bring guests from the parking lot to the front doors of the RIA building. The shuttle will be available from 12:45 PM – 1:15 PM, and again from 2:30 PM – 3:15 PM.
