Audience: Persons new to Federal Grant Seeking or those who have applied in the past and want to improve their success rate. Open to nonprofit agencies, public/governmental and/or school district personnel—basically, those responsible for generating resources for their agencies.

This course will help you craft better proposals. From setting the tone with your Abstract statement, to use of the logic model as a story-telling tool, when and how to request letters of support as well as provide guidance on budgets and how the reviewers will score your proposal, you will learn how to critically think about each portion of the grant proposal. This class will help you gain confidence and proficiency for requesting funding from public agencies.
This session is taught by Julie Rodda, of Rodda Consulting who has written proposals which have secured tens of millions in federal grant funding for nonprofits in Montana during the past decade. Her valuable experience in this field includes 10 years service as both a Peer Grant Reviewer and Chairperson of Federal Grant Reviews for the Office of Community Service, scoring grants for a wide array of federal agencies and programs.
