This book provides more than ten sustainable strategies and tools that can be implemented by organizations to improve their competitive business advantage, while also providing a positive impact to the community in the workplace. Case studies based on the authors’ vast experience with many leading companies illustrate each sustainability strategy.

A must book for all executives and managers of corporations, public agencies, and NGOs who are committed to environmental sustainability and want to operate more efficiently and profitably.

About the Trainer:
George P. Nassos is principal of George P. Nassos & Associates, a consulting company focusing on environmental sustainability and renewable energy.  He is also president of Sustainable Energy Systems, marketing on a new onsite waste-to-energy technology. For 14 yers, he was Industry Associate Professor and the Directors for the M.S. in Environmental Management and Sustainability Program at Illinois Institute of Technology’s graduate business school until he retired in 2011.

He had been teaching the sustainability capstone course since 1997 and, as a result, he has over 300 graduates/disciples preaching environmental and social sustainability worldwide. Research  for the capstone course resulted in writing the text book Practical Sustainability Strategies: How to Gain a Competitive Advantage published by Wiley and Son. He has been given the unofficial title in the Chicago area as “Mr. Sustainability” bestowed on him by the last Chicago Commissioner of the Department of Environment.

Prior to academia, he worked 15 years for Chemical Waste Management, developing unique treatment and disposal technologies including fuel pellets form non-recyclable waste, and 16 years for International Minerals & Chemical Corp. in various managerial positions, the last four years as Managing Director for the company’s German and Dutch subsidiaries. He earned a B.S. (U of Illinois), M.S. and Ph.D (Northwestern U.) all in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from Northwestern University.
