This course introduces OSHA and how OSHA operates to construction site workers. It focuses on the four basic construction site hazards: falls, electrocution, struck-by and caught-in or between. It identifies preventative measures to avoid those hazards such as fall protection and personal protection equipment.

Bonus Courses included in price:

Asbestos Awareness
Under the school asbestos rules and regulations all school custodial/maintenance workers (summer help also) must receive two hours of asbestos awareness training within 60 days of employment. OSHA also requires two hours of asbestos awareness training for individuals who work in a building area which contains asbestos containing or presumed asbestos containing materials. This training is applicable to several different employees including: maintenance and housekeeping staff, contractors of all trades and to employees who may install phone, cabling and networking systems. OSHA requires this training annually.

Lead Awareness

Under the OSHA general industry standard 1910 employers are required to take precautions to protect their employees from lead exposure. This lead awareness course introduces a basic understanding of lead based paint and dust hazards to employees.

OSHA Global Harmonization Training

Anyone working with chemicals in the work place must have this OSHA-required training. Addresses hazardous chemicals in the work place and the revised labeling and standardized format for Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS's), now universally called Safety Data Sheets (SDS's). This training was required by December 1, 2013. The Illinois Department of Labor is checking employers for this required training.
