Health Care Provider Seminar

While attendance in these sessions is not limited to health care providers, the topics cover technical content and require an intensive learning environment. Contented breastfeeding babies in arms are welcome. Please attend immediately to any situation that may distract others, including happy baby noises. Please be respectful of another's need to hear and learn from the speaker, and quietly respectful to the speaker who is presenting.

Children, regardless of age, are allowed to accompany their parents to CERP sessions at Area Conferences. CERP speakers and attendees should be aware and accepting of the fact that first-time parents and older children may attend these sessions. Please be respectful of the needs of all attendees and quietly respectful to the speaker who is presenting.

Friday, June 16, 2017: Health Care Provider Seminar

LLL of South Carolina proudly presents our 2017 Health Care Provider Seminar featuring Nancy Mohrbacher, IBCLC, FILCA. Continuing Education Units will be available on a range of topics including The First 36 Hours, Understanding Breastfeeding Behaviors, Nipple Pain and Trauma, and Low Milk Production. Lectures will be technical in nature and are geared toward Health Care Professionals. All those interested in lactation education and support are welcome to attend.

This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the South Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver with distinction, by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Approval valid through April 7, 2017.

There are no conflicts of interest disclosed for any presenters or planners. 

Each session will be monitored for attendance. Participants can choose any or all sessions to attend. Partial credit can be acheived by attending 90% of the chosen session, signing in with the session monitor, and completing an evaluation form. Up to 5.5 hours of continuing education can be earned throughout the course of the day. Materials expire 2 years after approval. 

 

Saturday, June 17, 2017: LLL of SC Area Coference 

The conference includes session topics of interest to families and others in the breastfeeding community. With sessions on breastfeeding, parenting, nutrition, communications, and childbirth, we offer a variety of topics and speakers. From birth to the teen yearsand beyond, there is something for every phase of parenting life. Nancy Mohrbacher, IBCLC, FILCA, will be our spotlight speaker and we hope you join us for an exciting day. 

This continuing education activity has been approved for 8.5 CERPs from IBLCE through a providership with LLL Alliance for Breastfeeding Education and approved for 8.5 CEUs for La Leche League Leaders and La Leche League Leader Applicants.
