Kellenberg Memorial High School Robotics Camp

Robotics camp is a great way to get involved in all aspects of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Participants will practice designing, building, coding, testing and driving robots for specific tasks. They will become familiar with all aspects of building a robot. By the end of camp participants will gain knowledge of the Laws of Motion, electricity, and computer coding. Participants will work in teams to build a robot and compete against each other at the end of the week. This will include learning how to fill different roles in teams and understanding all the different aspects of creating a robot. Participants will also learn through lecture, videos and current events what is going on in modern robotic fields. Cost of camp is $275.

Itinerary:

  • Monday: Participants will learn about the different roles involved in creating a robot and will start the designing process for robots that must complete a specific task
  • Tuesday: Participants will work in teams and start to build designs from the previous day. They will also start the basics of coding
  • Wednesday: Teams will split in to two groups. One will be builders, the other coders.
  • Thursday: Teams will finish and test their robots
  • Friday: Teams will put the finishing touches on their robots and then compete against other teams.
