Exploring Our Story Connections in Life and Work

4 CEUS! - 2 cultural and 2 regular!

Each of us has two "big" stories in our lives, the Story of Me and the Story of We.  Where these stories intersect is the place where we can create a sense of common culture and understanding. Listening to and sharing stories with empathy and imagination allows us to enter each other’s worlds with curiosity and respect.

Building on their framework of The Three Fold Legacy ™, Liz and Bob guide participants through a series of story based exercises that will help you make sense of and find meaning in your own experiences and better appreciate and understand the experiences of your colleagues and the people you serve.

This workshop will help bring your values to life, reconnect you with your purpose, passion, and talents, and re-energize you for the everyday challenges of life and work. Come and enjoy a heartfelt day of reflection, exploration and inspiration!

Meet our Esteemed Trainers:

Liz Mangual and Bob Kanegis are Corrales based professional storytellers and independent educators whose work spans performance, school and family literacy initiatives, and multi-agency community building collaborations. They help individuals and organizations find, reflect on and share their most important stories. Some of their major projects have included Vision and Voices (a collaboration with Unicef and the National Park Service), We Have Stories to Tell, and FEAST! (Families Eating and Story Telling Together).

In addition to her community and storytelling work, Liz has a private practice as a certified Life Empowerment Coach. Bob is the past president of Storytellers of New Mexico and is a contributor to a number of storytelling anthologies including, The Healing Heart--Storytelling to Build Strong and Healthy Communities, and the forthcoming The Promise of Peace: Words of Wisdom, Work, and Wonder. They count among their teachers and mentors wise elders and pre-school philosophers.
