Confirmation 

 

Confirmation is an intensive 9-month program where students 7th grade and older experience the Christian faith. Activities will focus on faith history, Methodist traditions, and personal faith development. 

Confirmation is a comprehensive program that includes classes, retreats, socials, field trips, mission projects, and special worship services.  

Due to the importance of the Confirmation process, students are expected to attend at least 80% of classes and all of the following "extracurricular" events.  If there is an unavoidable conflict, please talk to Donna or the Confirmation leaders about make up classes.

Please add these dates to your calendar now!   Extracurricular events for Confirmation 2017-2018 outside of regular class:

September 8-9: Fall retreat at Creekwood Student Center

September 10 2:00 pm: Confirmation Covenant Service

September 22 (Friday): Faith visit to Temple Shalom 

October 1: Faith visit to St. Jude Catholic Church

November 5: Faith visit to St. Luke's "Community" Church

April 27-28: Spring retreat (Bridgeport or Camp All Saints)

May 20: Confirmation Sunday (9:00, 10:15, or 11:30)

Multiple mission opportunities will also be offered throughout the year.  Confirmands are expected to serve at least 3 times during the year.
