The WaterSaver newsletter will help you create stunning landscapes that use less water. Every month, local horticulture and irrigation experts will highlight landscape topics ranging from what to plant to when to fertilize to how to encourage native wildlife.

  • Wondering which insects are beneficial to your garden? Or, why leaves change color in fall?  "Ask a Garden Goddess" addresses these and other gardening and landscaping basics.
  • The "Plant of the Month" focuses on easy-to-grow perennials that will survive our brutal summer heat and alkaline soils.
  • Check out "Water Wise Tips" for sage advice on creating a lush landscape that also saves water.
  • Keep up with free landscaping and irrigation classes and what's happening in the local gardening community with "Upcoming Events."
  • And, of course, we'll continue to deliver monthly watering advice appropriate to our region in the Sonoran Desert.

Chandler 'Smart' Home

Tracking Down Sneaky Leaks

Find and fix leaks that are draining your budget!  According to the EPA, the average household loses more than 10,000 gallons of water each year through leaks—the same amount of water needed to wash 280 loads of laundry, take 600 showers, or meet the average family’s water needs for a month! The smallest leaks can add up quickly and cost you money. Learn how to save water, energy and money with simple changes or repairs using environmentally friendly products and water saving devices. Three-time national Green Plumber of the Year John Smith will guide you in discovering helpful hints for your home or business that can help save water and money.

Each attendee will receive the new Smart Home Water Guide to finding and fixing leaks.  PLUS, you'll be entered in a drawing for a new Niagara 'Stealth' toilet.
