Creating a Culture of Philanthropy: 12 Tools for Engaging Your Board in Building Relationships 

This webinar will provide practical concepts, tools, and activities for understanding prospect and donor need and increasing the comfort level and confidence of staff and volunteers in approaching prospects and donors. Nonprofits will learn how to increase board, volunteer, and staff participation in approaching and engaging prospects and donors.

CAROLE V. RYLANDER, CFRE

Carole inspires and engages nonprofit leadership to maximize mission impact by strengthening fund development, governance and planning practices.She has expertise in feasibility studies, capital campaigns, major gift campaigns, case for support development and development audits. Carole has in-depth experience with governance best practices and assists with enhancing board culture, recruitment, engagement and meeting practices as well as committee structures.

A trained facilitator, she customizes strategic and fund development planning processes to meet each organization’s unique needs. As a frequent speaker, she draws on more than 30 years of service in the nonprofit sector to benefit board and staff members with highly rated workshops. Prior to establishing Rylander Associates in 1998, Carole was with the Greater Dallas Community of Churches where she served as senior development officer for 14 years. Carole has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Oral Communications, Radio-TV-Film from Baylor University and undertook concentrated studies in Marketing and Theater.

When she is not serving clients, facilitating workshops or making presentations, Carole spends time with her husband and their adult children who visit. At home, Carole enjoys watching classic movies, reading and observing the birds that frequent her feeders. Around town, she enjoys musicals and concerts.
