2015 WINGS/HSC Homeschool Activities Fair
On Friday, May 1st, from 10:00 - 2:00 pm, WINGS and Homeschool Charlotte will be sponsoring the (somewhat) annual "WINGS Homeschool Activities Fair" at Discovery Place Education Studio in uptown. Our goal is to connect the homeschooling community in the greater Charlotte area with businesses and organizations that may have activities, events, and other opportunities to offer this growing population.
(Note: If you are unable to attend, you may wish to consider sending brochures or donating a tax-deductable prize instead by registering here. If you are a homeschooler interested in attending the event, be sure to register here instead).
The fair will be open to the entire Charlotte area homeschool community, so this is a fantastic opportunity for homeschool-related businesses and organizations to showcase what they have to offer! In previous years, we have had over 100 families turn out and the response was very positive from both homeschoolers and the participants. With our new central location at the beautiful Discovery Place Education Studio, we anticipate an even larger crowd this year!
What types of businesses and organizations may participate? Any that have some type of opportunity geared to homeschoolers are welcome! (Note: We reserve the right to make the final determination and due to our limited space this year, we will likelly place less relevant vendors on a waiting list in case we run out of space). Here are some examples of what homeschoolers will be looking for at our Fair:

We hope to have many tables from all kinds of businesses and organizations that not only showcase what they have to offer, but also provide some fun, interactive activities for the children who will be there. In the past, we have had horses to ride, art demonstrations, and actors dressed in costume. This is not a necessity to participate, but would obviously be a great way to draw people to your table and would make the fair more exciting and fun for everyone. If you are interested in having a table at the fair, please click "register now" below. The charge is only $100 per table and two chairs, and non-profit 501c3 organizations receive a discounted rate of only $80. And if you hurry and sign up before March 20th, you can also take advantage of the early bird discount, putting the cost at just $90 per table and $70 per non-profit table! But be sure to register before April 10th, as our late rates increase to $150 per table ($130 for non-profits). Registration will officially close on Friday, April 17th.
