Inspiring Leadership for Innovation & Collaboration in Assessment

Keynote Speakers:   

  • Ereka WilliamsAssociate Dean for the College of Education at Fayetteville State University; National Institute for Learning Outcomes and Assessment Coach; charter member of the Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Collaboration for Excellence in Educational Quality Assurance (CEEQA)
  • Isaac Castillo, Director of Outcomes, Assessment, and Learning at Venture Philanthropy Partners (VPP); member of the American Evaluation Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the Eastern Evaluation Research Society (EERS) and the Superstar Foundation
The 2019 conference focuses on leadership, innovation, and collaboration to improve student learning. Tracks include:
  • Inspiring and Developing Faculty Assessment Leaders
  • Using Innovative Reporting and Data Visualization Techniques
  • Collaborating with Libraries and Other Co-educators for Quality Assessment

The 2019 Annual Conference of the Virginia Assessment Group  will be held at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Richmond Downtown.  Located in Richmond's downtown district, the hotel is convenient to award-winning restaurants and local area attractions. The conference room rate is $144.00  per night. Please make your room reservations before Thursday, October 24, 2019 to be guaranteed this rate. To obtain the conference hotel rate, reservations should be made online by going to  Virginia Assessment Group (VAG) 

Cancellations for registration will be accepted ten days in advance of the conference. All cancellation requests must be received in writing no later than November 3, 2019. Please email cancellation requests to townsendlm@longwood.edu. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received after this date or for no-shows. Substitutions may be made at any time.
