Join us on February 13 at John Deere Financial as Merlin Bartz, District Director/Ag Advisor for Congressman Steve King discusses the current state of the Farm Bill and the issues that are currently being worked out in Congress. In addition to operating his family farm near Grafton, Iowa, Bartz has been involved in the state government for many years. Bartz served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1991-1993, and the Iowa Senate first from 1993-2002 and again from 2009-2013, and has also worked for the USDA and Natural Resources Conservation Service over his career. Now serving as District Director for Congressman Steve King, his responsibilities include ag policy and Farm Bill advisor, as well as coordinating advocacy efforts with Iowa and national agricultural organizations. Please note: The February meeting will be held at John Deere Financial. Attendees need to enter at the North Entrance and bring form of valid Identification. Car pooling is encouraged.
