Dear Colleague:
Having just returned from the OAOP Vision Summit this past weekend, three things were very clear:
1. Oklahoma Optometry is known nationally as a leader in scope of practice as well as having the most doctor-friendly rules and laws governing our practices.
2. This environment is not an accident. Optometrists who came before us sacrificed to make Oklahoma Optometry a true national beacon of what is possible for the profession.
3. Now is the time for current practitioners to take the steps necessary to ensure future Optometric Physicians have the same or greater opportunities than we now enjoy.
The OOPAC is our Association’s tool to help educate and influence lawmakers about our issues. Wal-Mart, Vision Plans, Provider Rate Cuts, and many other issues are important to you and the Association.
Give to the OOPAC today so when the need arises, we will be ready to continue the battle.
We are asking that you make a one-time gift of $500 or monthly ongoing contributions of $50 or more. In return for giving, you will be eligible to attend a five (5) hour CME offering at no cost. This CME will be at the OAOP office in the afternoon of April 5, 2017. The CME will follow our OAOP Lobby Day at the Capitol.
I hope to see you at the Capitol and I hope you make your OOPAC contribution!
Please fill out the enclosed OOPAC form and return it today.
Thank You,
Lynsey Bigheart, O.D.
OOPAC Chair
