VCCS "Evening of Praise & Jazz" 

Experience Christian Jazz like you've never experienced it before!
The talented musical ensemble, Psalms of Jazz, will be featured in concert at 5 p.m., Sat., Oct. 11 in the Victory Christian Center Youth Building, 7224 Old Pineville Road, Charlotte.

As guests partake of this unique repertoire of smooth refined jazz music. Psalms of Jazz is a dynamic fusion of talent, featuring Sherman Barno of Atlanta on Keyboards, Monique Perkins of Myrtle Beach on violin and Charlotte's own Melita Peterson on saxophone. The trio has performed on a variety of venues throughout the East Coast for audiences ranging from private wedding settings to massive arenas. They performed as the house band for "A Very Funny Christmas," the syndicated hour-long standup comedy and music television show hosted by nationally acclaimed comedian, Akintunde. The group's versatility and rhythmic blend of sounds from classical, traditional and urban Christian jazz is rapidly positioning it as formidable presence in jazz music. 

Tickets are $25 per person and may be purchased by clicking on the button below, in the lobby of the Victory Christian Center Dome after services or in the VCC church office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Light Hors d'oeuvres will also be served. All proceeds raised will benefit the school's Kings Annual Fund.
