Oshawa Community Planting - Durham Court Park

Join us and plant "Hero Trees" in a park setting. This is the very first community tree planting event for the 2016 planting season. The site is near the 401 and is well suited for volunteers of every age. Volunteer space is very limited for this particular plant - be sure to register soon.

About Highway of Heroes Tribute

Ontario’s 401 Highway is the main transportation corridor linking Windsor with Quebec City, and crosses through some of the most densely populated areas in Canada. In 2007, a 170 kilometre portion of the highway stretching from CFB Trenton to Toronto was designated the Highway of Heroes, reflecting its use as the route for funeral convoys carrying fallen Canadian Forces service men and women from CFB Trenton to the coroner’s office in Toronto.
