Outstanding presentations will also include visual aids (pictures, flyers, video, artifacts or websites) as well as an interactive component that actively engages your audience.
Creativity is encouraged. Use your entire table to draw in viewers.
Alico Arena Do's and Don'ts:
The following items are not permitted inside of, or near FGCU Athletic Facilities: smoke machines, pyrotechnics, weapons, candles, glitter, spray glitter, stickers, silly string, helium balloons, latex material, animals (except registered service animals), paint, confetti, large handbags, backpacks, briefcases, shopping bags, coolers, outside food or beverage, alcohol, laser pointers, air horns, signs, hanging signs… All other facility policies and procedures; as well as local, state, and federal laws apply. ALL exceptions must be approved in writing by the Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities and Operations.
Event Schedule
Dakendo Michel was born in Léogâne, Haiti, and raised in Fort Myers. He is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated and is an alumnus of Florida Gulf Coast University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Social Work and graduated with high honors, earning him the rank of Magna Cum Laude. Dakendo is also currently pursuing his Masters at FGCU. While an undergraduate Dakendo served as a Youth Development & Empowerment Service Ambassador for the Office of Service-Learning & Civic Engagement. He was also a member of Student Support Services, Golden Key International Honor Society, and served as the Vice President for Phi Alpha Honor Society.
Students who wish to participate must register NO LATER THAN Friday, April 13th.
IMPORTANT: If you are a member of a group presentation, choose ONE PERSON to register your team's project. That person will list each participant when registering.
