From the greenest grant writers to those already getting the green, applying for a grant can be a complicated, nerve-wracking and time-consuming endeavor. Simplify the process through our comprehensive Grant Writing Workshop.

Independent grant writer and professional grant reviewer Bob Marovich will guide participants through an interactive dive into the overall strategic plan for writing grants. He’ll touch on everything from identifying donors, crafting needs statements, explaining your mission and goals, evaluation, connecting with key personnel, and developing a budget.

Beginners will acquire the techniques research and draft winning grant proposals, while advanced grant writers will learn to design programs based on a logic model, polish existing skills, and get up to date information on trends in funding.

In addition, the workshop will also include a presentation from a professional grant maker and time for Q&A with the grant maker so attendees can learn what happens once their grant application is submitted and ways to make their pitches more competitive.

Topics:

  • Researching and identifying potential donors.
  • Creating the right fit with selected funding agencies.
  • Integrating each component of the grant into a final product.
  • Developing focused and realistic budgets.
  • Addressing the guidelines of proposals.
  • Packaging a professional grant submission.

Objectives:

  • Comprehend the diversity of the funding community.
  • Identify and effectively write the key elements of a proposal.
  • Understand how to write winning grants that stand out among competition.
