An Evening Celebrating the Publication of "What Jackie Taught Us" 

Join us for a special evening celebrating the life and enduring legacy of one of the world's most famous women, as Roosevelt House and The Writing Center mark the publication of a new commemorative edition of What Jackie Taught Us: Lessons from the Remarkable Life of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis by Tina Santi Flaherty. 

Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis died twenty years ago, in May 1994. But her legend and the mysteries surrounding her live on. A distinguished panel will discuss her many achievements -- and the aura and the contradictions that continue, two decades after her death, to fascinate us all.

The speakers, all contributors to the new edition of What Jackie Taught Us, include: Kent Barwick, president emeritus of the Municipal Art Society and former president of the New-York Historical Society; Tina Santi Flaherty, author of What Jackie Taught Us, philanthropist, businesswoman, former television and radio broadcaster; Declan Kiely, Curator of Literary and Historical Manuscripts, the Morgan Library & Museum; and Malachy McCourt, author of A Monk Swimming and other books. The panel will be moderated by legendary columnist Liz Smith, who wrote the introduction to the commemorative edition of What Jackie Taught Us, which has fourteen essays by these and other opinion leaders not in the first edition, published ten years ago.
