2013 Train the Trainer

Class Dates: February 7, 14, 21  Time: 1pm - 2:15pm

Out & Equal University (OEU) uses the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Diversity Leadership training program to provide employees the tools to break down barriers and foster communication between LGBT employees and their co-workers. The course is open to all employees, diversity and affinity group leaders, human resource professionals and executives within corporations, non-profit organizations, government agencies and academic communities.

After completing the Train the Trainer (TTT) course, trainers are certified to present the 60-90 minute LGBT Diversity Leadership course in their workplace or local community.  For many, the TTT course is a basis for increasing your personal knowledge so you can have discussion in the workplace using the principles learned from best practices, statistics and the value of telling your own story.  Others use TTT as a stepping stone to begin working on a national level with Out & Equal to provide trainings for other organizations.

After completing your certification, you will be invited to join the Trainer’s Network which is an online community that provides resources and support for your training work.  This includes the LGBT Diversity Leadership training deck that you can customize and use within your training program, resources to other training programs, monthly Trainer’s Forum webinar on current topics and networking with other trainers.

Certification to teach the LGBT Diversity class is good for two years from course completion and can be renewed by taking the Train the Trainer refresher course.   This is a fee for service course and cost for the TTT course, which includes 3 75-minute sessions and all course materials, is $89.95 for corporate registrations or   $79.95 for non-profits, government or academic registrations.

*Prerequisite for the OEU Online TTT webinar:  Completion of Building Bridges toward LGBT Diversity (3 part online course that will be available as a live webinar on Jan 15, 22, 29, taken during the previous Out & Equal Annual Workplace Summit or completion of the archived webinar course.
