Habitat for Humanity - Presby-Build 

Homestead Presbytery and Habitat for Humanity are Building on Faith in Nebraska. The Lincoln chapter has been working with the Habitat Ministry & Mission Task Group to build a Presby-House in Lancaster County.

Several congregations in Homestead Presbytery have made a commitment to raise $75,000 to sponsor a Habitat For Humanity Build with a target date of 2015 to reach the financial goal.  Note, the family who will move into the house will pay back the $75,000 which will then be used for the next HFH build and asked to make commitment of 500 hours working on their house.  You can find information on HFH at: http://www.lincolnhabitat.org.  There are several ways to meet the funding, but more are welcome! There will be a need to help build the house, bring meals for the workers during the week (12-15) or the weekend (20-25) and other ways to contribute in the future once the build is initiated.The Ministry & Mission Task Group is hoping this will become an event in multiple counties in Homestead Presbytery.  Each Presby-House campaign will occur one home at a time, so the entire presbytery can participate in each build.  

How can your congregation participate?  Make a pledge!  Pledge funds (we need about $77,000 for the Lancaster build), pledge time &/or Labor, or pledge your prayers.

This can also become a family pledge.  What better way to encourage your family to serve in the community of Homestead Presbytery!  

Make a donation in Memory of someone or to Honor Someone  What better way to celebrate the legacy of an important person(s) in your life?!  The names of those in Memorium or being Honored will be dedicated on a plaque, and a certificate will be issued. Donations made in Memory or Honor of someone can be done through check or credit card for $100 per person or $300 per family. More than 1 memorial/honorarium can be made.
