Invitation-only to players who've worked hard and met our qualification standards. Check the list of players who have qualified. If you are on the list, you are invited! If you aren't on the list but think you should be, contact us.
Main event: Check-in before 9:00 am Saturday, April 2, 2022, except middle school and high school elitesections check-in by 10:30 am on Friday, April 1, 2022.
Blitz tournament: check-in by 4:00 pm Friday.
Bughouse tournament: check-in by 5:30 pm Friday.
Friends and Family tournament: check-in by 10:00 am Saturday.
How to Register:
1) Parents/ coaches must confirm that players' names are on the invited/qualified player list, found at this link. If you are not on the list, but certain that you have qualified based on an event within the last few days, we've probably just not updated the list yet (usually we can't update until Thursday after a weekend event). In that case, it's easier for us if you wait until the lists are updated. If absolutely necessary, though (i.e., if you're leaving the country until after the deadline, or need to meet the early registration deadline), you can register and just note in the comment box why and how you anticipate qualifying. You can always contact us with questions. oscf@oscf.org.
2) Please review the 2022 Details and Rules.
3)Please gather your player information. ALL PLAYERS need the following: name, school, grade, NWSRS ID, NWSRS rating, USCF ID, and USCF Expiration Date. Find NWSRS ID and rating at this link.
NEW FOR 2022: ALL SECTIONS REQUIRE VALID USCF MEMBERSHIP. Rose City Chess offers discounted memberships to all players who need to purchase or renew a membership. You can purchase USCF membership from Rose City Chess for $10 or directly from USCF for $20.
Please note: Missing or expired USCF memberships cause tournament organizers great difficulty. PLEASE make sure that memberships have been renewed!
4) Payment? Note that for ease of our all-volunteer organizers, we are requiring all registration and payment to be done online. Note also that we are offering sibling discounts; read the registration page instructions carefully to the end to find out how (see the text before the comment box).
5) Registering several players? If you are registering several players, note that Constant Contact will log you out of your registration after approximately 15 minutes on the registration page (say 10 minutes to be safe). So please be sure to gather the above information FIRST (ideally in a document from which you can cut and paste), and then proceed through registration for your players quickly after that. Because of this limitation, we limit registration to 8 players per email address; if you think you're faster than that we can specificially lift the limit for you, but call or email us first. Please contact us at oscf@oscf.org.
6) How will I know if I'm registered? If you successfully register, you WILL receive a "congratulations" screen and an email confirming registration WITH your player information included. If you DO NOT receive the email, or if it does not have player information included, you have not successfully registered your player(s). Please contact us at oscf@oscf.org if you don't see the confirming screen and email.
7) Ready? Good. Click the "Register Now" button below, complete the forms, and we'll see you in Seaside!
