Effective Review of Use of Force Incidents 

This one-day program is designed for All Ranks!  It provides an overview of how everyone in the agency needs to guard against lawsuits by correctly documenting and effectively reviewing an officer's use of force in the field. Attendees will learn what is necessary for officer's to document, first-line supervisors will understand their role in the initial review of the incident, shift commanders will know their role in continued supervision and training, Internal Affairs professionals will fully understand their role in quality control and handling of in-depth reviews on an agency basis. And Command Staff will understand their role in shaping the narrative after Use of Force Incidents.  

Police agencies should not just provide an indepth review of serious use of force incidents only.  Effective review for all incidents involving force will assist an agency with proper training of officers and protecting the officers and organization from issues.
