Cortez Area Chamber of Commerce “Effective Hiring” Workshop

Have you wondered about the key to great employee hiring? Do you wish you were better equipped to distinguish those characteristics that define a great and enduring employee? Hiring decisions are some of the most important ones businesses make but few people receive training on how to make these crucial choices.

Join us on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 9 am - 11 am as we bring together area experts who will cover a variety of topics concerning successful hiring strategies. This workshop will be presented by Spencer Smith, Owner of Aaron’s; Chad Bischoff, Manager of Associate Resources with Aarons and Shannon Carver, Human Resources Director, Skanska’s Rocky Mountain Division.

Topics will include: key points to guide your hiring process; discerning the unspoken or unwritten information that is sometimes crucial to hiring decisions; creating a hiring process that allows for future meaningful accountability; legal concerns and more. There will be time for several case discussions as well as questions and answers.

This workshop will be held in the Chamber conference room and the cost is $25 each for Chamber members and $30 for non-Chamber members. Space is limited so register today!
