Beratung Oktoberfest 2023
Join us on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 6pm – 9pm (ET) at the Teutonia Mannerchor on the north side of Pittsburgh for our 2023 Beratung Oktoberfest!
What is the dresscode?
- Casual, but feel free to wear "Trachten" which is traditional Bavarian dress including Lederhosen or a Dirndl!
Are masks required?
- Masks are not required, but are welcomed for those that prefer.
What kind of food will be served?
- A traditional German buffet will be offered that includes assorted Brauts, Schnitzel, Spätzle, potatoes, vegetables, various sides and dessert.
What kind of drinks will be served?
- There will be beer, wine, and liquor as well as nonalcoholic beverages. Each guest will be provided with 3 drink tickets, anything additional will be offered as a cash bar.
What should we expect?
- 6:00pm - Arrival
- 6:00pm - 6:30pm Oktoberfest starts
- 6:30pm - 6:45pm Ceremonial start to the festival
- 6:45pm – 7:30pm Dinner buffet opens
- 7:30pm - 8:00pm Performance by Alpen Schuhplattlers, Pittsburgh’s premier Bavarian dance group
- 8:00pm – 9:00pm Festival
- There will be a band playing the whole time with breaks
How do I find it?
Typing "Teutonia Männerchor" in Apple Maps or Google Maps will bring up the location or use the address 857 Phineas Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. There will be a large sign with the Beratung logo and arrow pointing towards the entrance. The club's Biergarten is open during this time with a food truck so you may see people assembled outside but the event is inside in the "Sangerhalle"
Where should we park?
Parking is available in the lot to the right of the main entrance as well as behind the building in the gravel lot and on-street parking.
