Are you up on the best practices for writing corporate websites or digital editorial? Do you know how to useGoogle Analytics to improve your writing? From SEO basics to website must-haves for writers, this seminar willcover the essentials of writing for the web.

Danielle Wintrip - Founder, Wintrip Communication Design

Danielle founded Wintrip Communication Design, a company that specializes in building and improving websites for small businesses. For 20 years, Danielle has been working with words and the Web, starting with a BA in English Literature from McGill University and continuing with two postgraduate diplomas, one in information technology and one in communications. She has worked around the world for top organizations in technology, education, and investment banking and, in the summer of 2013, she kicked off her big company shoes and started up a gourmet popsicle business. Then, in 2014, Danielle struck out on her own as a website consultant so she could follow and support the Canadians who she admires the most: entrepreneurs and small business owners. To date, Danielle’s expertise, enthusiasm, and creativity has helped dozens of clients to craft websites that look good and drive sales. Danielle spends her offline time on the yoga mat balancing, in the water swimming, amidst the trees walking dogs, or (most of the time) laughing at her husband’s jokes. www.wintripcommunications.com

Emily Dockrill Jones - Owner, Page&Screen Communications

Emily Dockrill Jones has been creating Web content for over a decade. She's written or edited everything from online courses and learning aids to corporate websites, blogs, and social media accounts to the on-screen text for apps. She also trains other Web content creators as an instructor at George Brown College and Ryerson University, and through her own company, Page&Screen Communications. Emily contributed the "Editing Online Materials" chapter to Editing Canadian English, 3rd edition, and is currently at work on an online version of her popular Writing & Editing for the Web workshop. She's still a big fan of print books, but these days, she's mostly reading Dr. Seuss and Sandra Boynton with her two-year-old son.
