Do you know how to prevent scope creep? Our experienced panellists will help you navigate the tricky world of pricing your services, from sharing their expert tips on estimates, to analyzing standard freelance rates, to discussing the spectrum of ways that successful freelancers charge for services.

 

Sharon Aschaiek of Cocoa Media is a writer, editor and communication consultant who focuses on the education sector. She works with universities, colleges, private schools and education associations to develop communication projects such as newsletters, special reports, blog posts and advertorial content. An experienced and award-nominated journalist, Sharon also writes about education trends and issues for mainstream consumer and trade publications. She volunteers as chair of Professional Independent Communicators, a special interest group of the Toronto chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators. 

 

Margaret McCaffery is president of Canterbury Communications, a Toronto marketing/communications agency specializing in professional services firms. An award-winning consultant, she has advised over 20 law firms, from very large (350 partners) to very small (sole practices). She has built marketing departments in large firms and provided marketing strategy and services on an outsourced basis to small firms.

 

 

Steve Slaunwhite has been an award-winning copywriter, and copywriting teacher, since 1995. He is the author of many popular books including The Everything Guide To Writing Copy (Adams Media) and The Wealthy Freelancer (Penguin). Steve is also the founder and senior trainer at the Copywriting Training Center. Cancellation Policy
If a registrant wishes to cancel, the following terms and conditions apply:
• Cancellations are accepted no later than midnight three days before an evening seminar, and no less than one week before a half-day or full-day workshop.
• No refunds are given for cancellations received after the cancellation period.  
• Registration fees apply to the event for which they were paid and cannot be applied to a future event in lieu of cancellation.
