GI Lunch Meeting - Risk Assessment and Management (RAM) Lecture Series

Geotechnical engineering has seen a rapid growth of interest in risk assessment methodologies. A probabilistic analysis may lead to a “probability of failure”, as opposed to the traditional “factor of safety”. This seminar will review some of the benefits and potential pitfalls of different approaches of methods of probabilistic analysis.
