 Speaker Bios;

Stacy Cantor Abrams, Executive editorial Director of  Entangled Teen, Stacy loves working on contemporary teen stories, even if they have a supernatural bend. Some of her favorite projects she’s edited have been Jessica Warman’s novel, Between (contemporary ghost/murder mystery story), Tracy Deebs’s Tempest series (mermaid paranormal romance), and Loretta Ellsworth’s In a Heartbeat (dual narratives from the POV of an organ donor and recipient). She’d love to see more psychological thrillers, unique paranormal creatures, time travel, gritty across-the-tracks romances, or a historical set in the twentieth century.

Jenne Abramowitz, Senior Editor of Scholastic, is interested in chapter books and middle grade fiction. She has worked with a diverse and talented list of authors and illustrators including Marion Dane Bauer, Robert Neubecker, Henry Winkler and Lin Oliver, Peter Hannan, Frank Remkiewicz, and Pam Muńoz Ryan. Some of Jenne’s current and upcoming projects include highly-illustrated chapter books like The Yeti Files by Kevin Sherry and Aaron Blabey’s The Bad Guys, emotionally-complex middle grade novels like The World from Up Here by Cecilia Galante and Into the Killing Seas by Michael P. Spradlin, and fast-paced, funny series like Starring Jules by Beth Ain and Eric Luper’s Key Hunters. Jenne loves mysteries, modern fantasy, humor, adventure, Southern accents, quirky towns and quirky families, secret societies, hidden identities, and anything with a really juicy secret.

Anna K. Roberto, Editor  at Feiwel and Friends, an imprint of Macmillan Children's Publishing Group. Anna works on everything from picture books to young adult novels. She edited Little Bird’s Bad Word by Jacob Grant, and the upcoming How to Find a Fox by Nilah Magruder also the #1 New York Times bestseller Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year by Demi Lovato, Boys Don’t Knit by T.S. Easton, and Flawed by Ceclia Ahern--to name a few.

Deborah Warren, Founder of East West Literary LLC, Deborah became an agent after 17 years at Harcourt. With over 33 years’ of experience in the publishing industry, and over 14 years at the helm of the Agency, Deborah not only represents authors and illustrators of picture books including Jim Averbeck, Anna Dewdney, Kimberly and James Dean, Gianna Marino, and Antoinette Portis, she represents authors and illustrators—both debut and established--in the board book, concept, illustration, multicultural, non-fiction, middle-grade and young adult markets. Deborah is looking to fall in love with character-driven stories, enhanced by a hook, told in a unique, fresh or distinctive way. Her sweet spots: short, quirky picture books and smartly layered, accessible and compelling MG and YA fiction.
