Choosing Connection Over Control: The Dos & Dont's of Classroom Management - 4/25/18

Presenter: Susan Mrazek, Ph.D. - Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant

This training will focus on the power of observation, active listening, and a willingness to take risks. These tools can help to replace teachers feelings of pressure to control and contain children to one of exploration and curiosity about children’s needs. As a group, we will discuss the challenges that arise when attempting to effectively manage your classroom, specific strategies that help in connecting positively with children, and ways in which a teacher or caregiver can tap into her own strengths in order to more effectively manage her day in the classroom.

Targeted Audience: All Early Childhood & Youth Professionals

Level of  Learning: Introductory
