This training will focus on the power of observation, active listening, and a willingness to take risks. These tools can help to replace teachers feelings of pressure to control and contain children to one of exploration and curiosity about children’s needs. As a group, we will discuss the challenges that arise when attempting to effectively manage your classroom, specific strategies that help in connecting positively with children, and ways in which a teacher or caregiver can tap into her own strengths in order to more effectively manage her day in the classroom.
