It Takes a Village to Raise a Child: Effectively Connecting with Parents & Families - 2/13/18

Presenter: Susan Mrazek, Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant

This training will provide you with background information on the research that has been done on family-school connections, what parents and families are seeking from their child’s teacher or caregiver and how to tackle difficult conversations with a child’s parent or primary caregiver. As a group, we will brainstorm ideas on how to foster stronger relationships between children’s educational and home environments and why this relationship and teamwork with families is so critical. Set some goals for yourself and/or your childcare center or home business around connecting more intentionally with parents and families.
