Town Centre Management Models and Governance

In partnership with SLAED, BIDs Scotland, DTA Scotland & Harper Macleod, this learning event provides an overview of a range of town centre partnership regeneration interventions and models; with a more indepth look at two examples - Business Improvement Districts and Development Trusts. Advice on overarching legal considerations  and incorporation options will round off the session and there will be ample time to discuss aspirations and challenges for your town or community.

"One Size Doesn’t Fit All..when it comes to regenerating and developing your local town, it is important that you choose the right delivery vehicle. In some cases this may be a traditional Town Centre Partnership approach, a Business Improvement District or even a Community or Development Trust led programme. This event looks at the various ways in which you can tackle your town by highlighting the pro’s and con’s of each and highlighting some of the more complex legal and statutory issues that can arise."

Phil Prentice, East Renfrewshire Council
