Action Icon Awards & Stuntwomen's Stunt Coordinating Conference Oct. 12 -16, 2016

The Action Icon Awards is the premiere award show honoring dynamic professional Hollywood stuntwomen, action-oriented actresses and extreme sports stars. This year’s honorees include legendary stunt performers Julie Michaels who will be bestowed a SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD having wooed audiences as a stunt performer opposite Keanu Reeves “Point Break,” and Patrick Swayze “Road House,” and currently the stunt coordinator for “How to Get Away with Murder,” and “Jane The Virgin.” The HELEN GIBSON AWARD will be presented to Melissa Stubbs – which pays homage to a veteran stuntwoman with over 30 years of industry experience. Our DIAMOND IN THE RAW Award will be given to Paramount Pictures, VP of Production, Alana Mayo and the Dare2BDifferent Award to world class aerialist Jen Bricker (born with no legs and the sister of Olympian Dominique Morceanu).  Charlie Sheen’s stunt double Eddie Braun will receive a very special SPIRIT AWARD for his daring, successful Evel Knieval jump over Snake Canyon.

The awards will be held at the Sheraton Universal Hotel, Sunday, October 16, 11 am to 4 pm.
