June 25-26 Middle States Academy

 

Middle States Academy is an intense inter-active program that is designed to furnish chapter members, officers and advisors with an insight on how to plan activities to encompass the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Study Topic, Frontiers and the Spirit of Exploration which provides a foundation for Honors in Action projects for individuals, chapters and regions. There will be presentations on C4-Community College Completion Corps, Competitive Edge, 5-Star Chapter Development Plan, College Fish and more! 

June 26-28 Middle States Honors Institute

 Honors Institute provides participants with two days of intensive study of the 2014-2016 Honors Study Topic. Members, advisors and alumni will hear presentations by experts on various aspects of the Honors Study Topic, learn about Honors in Action, and enjoy time to discuss and reflect upon what they have learned in a small group setting.

Registration Includes

Lodging, all meals, snacks, speakers, forums, activities, shared living space and shared bath. Linens are included. All living spaces air-conditioned.

Advisors wanted as Seminar Leaders for Honors Institute

We are looking for Chapter Advisors who will be attending Honors Institute to serve as Seminar Leaders. Seminar Leaders work with a small group of students to propose an Honors In Action Plan based on one of the nine Honors Study Topic Themes. At the conclusion of Honors Institute, groups will present their proposed Honors in Action Plans to all attendees. No experiece required as this is a great hands on learning experience for all!
