The Prayer Chaplain Program founded by Reverend Lei Lanni Burt with Light and Love Ministires is:

• A unique sacred service program for congregants who desire to take the next step in their spiritual development; and
• A way to extend the heart, hands, and feet of the ministry's leadership by supporting congregants with prayer, home and hospital visits, and monthly Wellness Calling.

The Prayer Chaplain Trainers Workshop is designed to teach specific skills and core competencies and provides unique spiritual and professional development for ministers, licensed teachers, and lay leaders.  It gives you everything you need to start a Prayer Chaplain Program in your ministry or train a new leader for your existing program (including a Prayer Chaplain Training Manual and Trainer's Guide).  If you participated in a workshop prior to 2005 then you received the previous material.  The program has evolved considerably since its creation.  Attending this workshop provides you with the new material and the license to train it in your ministry.

Who Attends?

• Ministers and Licensed Unity Teachers (post-graduate credits available);
• LUT Candidates (practicum credits for Pastoral Care available);
• Individuals stepping into a leadership position of a new or existing program (succession planning); and
• Prayer Chaplains or other individuals desiring to deepen their prayer life and expand their spiritual education and training.

2nd Edition Trainer's Guide:  2012 Trainer's Workshops will include the recently revised Trainer's Guide including 37.5 hours of core Prayer Chaplain training power point with trainer's notes; adaptations for small ministries; guide to customizing your Wellness Calling; and Tips for Trainers.  The new Trainer's Guide is also available for sale for those who have attended a workshop with the new material (October 2005 to present).

Registration Rates

Early-Bird Registration Fee:  $400 (by 2/24)

Regular Registration Fee:  $420

Group Registration Fees ( per person for groups of 3 or more from the same ministry):  $380 per person

Host Registration Fee:  $350 (available for individuals registering from Unity Spiritual Life Center in Winter Springs, FL)

Hotel and Transportation Information

The host ministry has arranged for a special block of rooms at the following hotel:

Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel - Orlando North - 230 West State Road 436, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714  (407) 862-4455. $67.99/night Standard Two Queens ++ including a full hot breakfast daily.  Reservations need to be made by 3/7.

The hotel will also provide shuttle transportation to and from the church for all participants staying at the hotel.  Transportation to and from the airport can be arranged for a flat rate of $50 per trip.  Please notify the hotel if you would like transportation from and back to the airport and the hotel will coordinate with others so that the cost may be divided among all the passengers.
