The Marin Interfaith Council's 8th annual Visionary Marin event will honor Ethel Seiderman’s nationally recognized achievements in childcare, Sr. Marion Irvine’s visionary and fearless leadership in social justice, and their inspiring interfaith friendship.
Ethel Seiderman is nationally recognized for her creative approach to childcare and family. She established and directed one of the first infant care programs in the United States - the Florence Crittenton Infant Center. She also founded the Fairfax-San Anselmo Children's Center as well as the Parent Services Project.
Sister Marion Irvine is a recognized leader in serving others by raising social consciousness. She is a Roman Catholic sister and worked in education for 50 years. She held the title of "Promoter of Peace, Justice and the Care of Creation." She also was an Olympian Marathoner and inducted into the Road Runners Hall of Fame.
