Buckeye Hills General Policy Council Meeting & Luncheon

October 7, 2016 

You are invited to attend the Buckeye Hills Semi-Annual General Policy Council Meeting in Marietta. Speakers will provide updates on Ohio's Age Wave, State Budget and rural transportation. 

 Robert Applebaum, Ph.D.,  Director of the Ohio Long-Term  Care Research Project;  Professor, Department of  Sociology & Gerontology;  Associate Dean, College of Arts  and Science and Scripps Research Fellow will share details on Ohio's Age Wave. Ohio faces an unprecedented demographic challenge with the aging of the baby boomer generation. By 2030, adults 65 years and older will make up nearly 25% of Ohio's population, up from 14% today. This dramatic change in life span is a cause for both celebration and concern. 

 Also speaking will be Brad Cole,  Managing Director of Research for  the County Commissioners  Association of Ohio (CCAO).  

 CCAO works to provide county  commissioners with the tools and information needed to provide citizens with efficient and effective county government. He will share updates on the impact of Medicaid MCO Sales Tax Issue on Counties and the State Budget.
