The Sacred Summer Art Program is a week devoted to the visual arts in a sacred context. We emphasize group cohesiveness and individual creativity and thoroughly enjoy our time together.
The children participate in many art activities using various subjects, media and materials. These projects are inspired by many sources including stories from sacred texts, sacred spaces, and exploration of world traditions.
Our Sacred Art classes include time to get to know each other and to focus on language, imagery, symbols and beauty. All of these guide interfaith discussions and art-making to portray similarities, differences and respect.
(Childcare will be provided for children under 5.)
Cost: $35/child
Your fee will be due on Monday of your session.
If you would like to volunteer as a classroom assistant for a day, please contact Sandy at prouty@montview.org.
