A focus of this year's workshop will be the impact of recent FEMA re-mapping for Coastal Storm Surges. We also will be covering the impacts of flood insurance reform, dam safety and Dam Break Inundation Zones (DBIZ). Finally, we will be looking at the Letter of Map Change (LMC) process.
VFMA will pre-certify the workshop with the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) for Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) Continuing Education Credits (5 CEC's). An certificate for CEC's will be provided at the workshop.
