The Importance of Stakeholder Engagement when Implementing Public Green Stormwater Infrastructure Projects | Jessica Bruso, Ferguson Waterworks
Today’s stormwater management systems face growing challenges. Stormwater management systems need to handle more runoff and remove more pollutants than ever before. Green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) is becoming the go-to strategy in many states around the country for combatting these challenges. Some are even going above and beyond to implement these projects for increased resilience. This presentation will look at several green stormwater infrastructure projects in Florida. It will discuss the importance of stakeholder engagement from the conceptual phases of a municipal project through construction and beyond. In addition, an overview of the stormwater BMPs implemented or considered will be discussed.
