Course Description:
The purpose of this class is to improve your ability to recognize suspects who may be medically impaired or impaired by drugs other than alcohol and, when you encounter such suspects, take appropriate action.
In this class, each of the seven drug categories will be discussed and students will learn what categories may be causing what they are observing roadside.
Missouri Safety Center Dress Code:
The Center is a formal training environment for civilians and professionals alike. All students are asked to follow our dress code which consists of attire that is typically found in a professional office environment; T-shirts, tank tops, torn jeans, shorts or sandals are not appropriate in class.
The tuition is funded by MoDOT Highway Safety and Traffic Division.
Arrangements for meals and lodging will be your responsibility. Because our classes have limited seating, and are filled on a first come first serve basis, we ask for a 48 hour notice of cancellation. This may allow someone else, on a waiting list, to take the course.
