CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT
Join together for the 1st Annual Charity Golf Tournament to raise money for Devin Suau and his family as they race to find a cure for his diagnosis of DIPG.
In late January 2017, after showing some concerning sypmtoms thought to be related to a possible concussion, Devin was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). DIPG is a lesser known pedicatric brain cancer, that affects 200-300 children between the ages of 5-10 nationally each year. The tumor is located on Devin's brain stem and given the location it is inoperable and there is no known cure.
Devin has been given a life expectancy of 8 mo to 2 years. He along with his parents, Christine and James and his 3 older brothers Colin, Owen and Brenden are currently on the quest to re-write this story. They will not allow this to be their reality and have taken on the fight to cure Devin and raise awareness and funding for other children given the same grim diagnosis. As Devin moves on to the next stage of his care- all treatments will be 100% out of pocket for the Suau's.
Devin is an amazing boy full of spark and fight. He has captured the hearts of so many with his whitty one liners and courage thru the early stage of his diagnosis. He loves to play soccer, lacrosse and snowboard and admires (and torments) his three older brothers. Since his diagnoses he has grown a liking to the Green Lantern; whom in his words can "do anything." The campaign #whynotdevin has attracted the attention of so many and given hope to the family. They ask us to help Devin - Be Brave- Be Strong and Be First!
Join the Suau's fight. Join Devin's fight. Be part of the greatest comback story ever told as he channels his inner super hero to "do anything" but specifically overcome this disease. Please join us for a day of golfing, laughing and fundraising to raise this family and help them find their miracle for a little super hero who deserves so much more.
