Fee includes all six days of training plus training materials.  All meals are on your own, however participants are welcome to bring their lunch.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Training Academy

The Behavior Analyst Certification Board® has established standards for a new credential - Registered  Behavior Technician (RBT). This credential was created to establish training standards for staff who are responsible for working directly with students/clients. Commonwealth Autism offers this training program for individuals interested in pursuing this credential. This dynamic “in-person” training provides in-depth coverage of the RBT Task List and opportunities for practice and feedback. 

This training program is based on the Registered Behavior Technician Task List and is designed to meet the 40-hour training requirement for the RBT credential. The program is offered independent of the BACB.

Requirements for Obtaining the RBT Credential

  • Complete the 40-hour training covering the items listed on the RBT Task List (Covered in the our Training Academy) 

  • Pass the Competency Assessment conducted by a BCBA

  • Pass RBT examination

  • Submit background check

  • Complete on-line application

Requirements for Maintaining Credential

  • On-going supervision by BCBA or BCaBA

  • Annual passage of Competency Assessment

  • Pay annual renewal
