Please join us on Wednesday, September 27th for the September 2023 CFO Council of Savannah Meeting! We will be joined by Jerome Johnson and Donna Staiano from Robert Half who will give a presentation on Navigating the Evolving Workplace: Trends in Hiring and Compensation.

Learn how hiring managers are attracting top candidates and enhancing retention efforts amid a complicated employment landscape.

In their presentation, Jerome and Donna will:

  • Highlight national and local hiring trends and how those impact both employers and job seekers.
  • Asses where salaries are headed, identify the hottest jobs in finance and accounting, and what skills are in demand.
  • Discuss the latest trends in flexible work, and benefits and perks.

SPEAKERS

Jerome Johnson, Practice Director - Finance & Accounting

Jerome Johnson is a seasoned professional with over 18 years of experience in the Accounting and Finance search industry, focusing on the Charleston and Savannah markets. He currently serves as the Practice Director at Robert Half Finance and Accounting, where he leads a dedicated team in connecting clients with top talent within the industry.  During his tenure with Robert Half he has helped nearly 1,000 professionals secure new opportunities and serves as a resource for hundreds of clients annually. 

Jerome is an alumnus of Furman University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting in 2002 and was a member of the tennis team.

Donna Staiano, Recruiting Manager - Finance & Accounting

Donna Staiano is a native New Yorker with a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Fairfield University and a background in BIG 4 (Assurance Group) specialized in Real Estate/Financial Services. After multiple clients suggested she would be excel at Recruiting, she entered the Business Development sector at a Real Estate Asset Management Group which prepared her for success at Robert Half. Since joining Robert Half in June of 2022, Donna has quickly become a subject matter expert in the talent solutions field and has successfully completed over 40 permanent placements. She is a trusted advisor to both clients and candidates (by being a straight shooter in classic New York style) and provides an unparallelled white-glove level of service throughout the hiring process.

Regular meetings begin with networking and coffee at 7am, followed by breakfast and a presentation by the meeting sponsor. Meetings typically wrap up by 8:45am.

Accounting and Finance professionals are welcome and encouraged to attend. The CFO Council is a great way to network with fellow finance professionals while enjoying a wonderful breakfast at the Savannah Golf Club.

If you are new to the CFO Council or have not attended a meeting in the last 18 months, we encourage you to attend our next meeting free of charge.

Attendance Guidelines

  • Senior Financial Executives (SFE's): SFE’s are company management personnel who are responsible, directly or indirectly, for the financial management and financial well being of an organization. SFE’s may include but are not limited to: CFO’s, Controllers, Vice President-Finance, Treasurer, President, CEO, Business Owners. etc.
  • Resource Company Representatives (RC): Up to 1 per company per meeting. Resource companies are defined as companies that provide services and expertise that may be of value to SFE’s. Representatives of resource companies are people who are not involved in the financial management or decision making of the Company. Resource companies may include but are not limited to banks, insurance providers, lawyers, investment advisers, public accountants, colleges, staffing/recruiting, payroll providers, consultants, bookkeepers, etc.
