Knitting with Beads: Figaro Knitted Cuff
Learn how to create beaded knits and add some extra pizazz to your next project! Join Echo on Sunday, July 7th to learn two methods of adding beads to your knits: pre-strung beads and knitted beads. Students will learn these two techniques by starting the Figaro Beaded Cuff (www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/figaro-beaded-cuff) in class.
Materials Required:
- 25 yards sock/fingering weight yarn (a solid color is suggested)
- US 1 knitting needles
- US 10 crochet hook
- 64 size 8/0 beads
- 12 size 6/0 beads
- A note on beads: You can purchase beads prior to class from Oasis Bead Lounge in downtown Bellingham or from a variety of online bead shops. If you don’t wish to buy beads before class, bead packets for this project will be available for purchase from the instructor for $5.
Prerequisites: Students should know how to cast on, cast off, knit, purl, yo, k2tog, and ssk.
