Space Architecture &
Design for Extreme Environments

Join us on Thursday, February 21, 2019 for the first AIA New Hampshire Chapter Meeting of the year. We will welcome Taylor Phillips-Hungerford, NASA architect, to the McAuliffe Shepard Discovery Center in Concord, NH to discuss Space Architecture: how to address the challenges and complexities of creating habitable conditions beyond this planet. Taylor's presentation will help inform earth-architects' resilient designs for extreme environments, in response to recent and projected patterns of severe climate change.

We will have a viewing in the Planetarium of the film, From Dream to Discovery: Inside NASA and have access to all the exhibits at the Discovery Center. There will also be time for networking and socializing with light refreshments and a cash bar.

(Taylor is the son of Susan Phillips-Hungerford, AIA who is a director on the AIANH board.)

Emerging Professionals can attend this event free of charge.  Come hear from a young professional whose design career has an interesting twist!  Emerging Professionals are architecture students, recent graduates and newly licensed architects (within last 5 years).

1 HSW LU will be offered for this lecture.
